24 April Futures Update

Today we rolled copper from May to July. Our stop should be 2.399 for July Copper.

All of the entry and exit signals were repeats of previous ones and don’t require any action in our hypothetical portfolio except the aforementioned copper roll. The markets were quite volatile in the wake of the French elections, with stocks finishing much higher and gold, debt (bonds and notes) and crude and unleaded lower on the day.

All of the other signals were to enter positions we’re already in or exit signals in positions we’ve already exited.
Quite an interesting week for the hypothetical portfolio. Large moves up and down in bonds and stocks. Crude and unleaded gas ended the week sharply lower. The looming possibility of a government shutdown awaits at the end of next week, and international attention rests on N. Korea and the French elections. Could be an interesting one…
